IGN has gone live with an exclusive first look at Telltale's The Walking Dead video game. The footage premiered during this week's episode of "Up at Noon." In said footage we get a good look at the game's artistic stylings, the characters we'll be meeting up with and a little bit of the game in action. Feel free to skip ahead in the video to the 8:55 mark. That's where The Walking Dead stuff picks up.
In addition to the debut trailer, IGN's Greg Miller sat down with Telltale's Gary Whitta, who's one of the writers tackling this 5-episode game (he's penning the game's fourth episode). From watching the trailer and hearing Whitta talk, it's clear that The Walking Dead will be the grimmest game Telltale has yet developed. So if you love your games dark, The Walking Dead should fit into your repertoire nicely.
The first episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead will release next month for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, PC, Mac and iOS. Subsequent episodes will drop at regular intervals.
So, do you plan to check out The Walking Dead? Telltale's Back to the Future adaptation was pretty solid. But Jurassic Park… not so much. That's why we remain cautiously optimistic with what they'll do with the most popular zombie franchise currently on the market.
