Rockstar Games and Marvel Custom Solutions have announced they are joining forces to produce a three-part comic based on Max Payne 3, the upcoming sequel in Rockstar's popular video game franchise that was made into a gorgeously arduous movie starring Mark Wahlberg, still sans Funky Bunch.

The game is due out in May, and the miniseries will be written by Dan Houser and Sam Lake, with cover art from Greg Horn and interior art from Fernando Blanco. The first issue will be entitled "After The Fall" and will be released sometime in the next few weeks for free online at the Rockstar Newswire and the official site for Max Payne 3. It's said to delve into the events of the first two Max Payne games and shed new light on Max Payne's history of Max Payneness.

So if you like Max Payne, you'll like Max Payne.
