Hot for Food Recipe – Ookie Wookie Cookies
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Put the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
Put the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in another mixing bowl. If you have an electric mixer set on high speed and beat together. If not, no worries, just mix with a spoon until well blended and creamy, about 3 minutes.
Then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and stir with the wooden spoon until blended. Try the dough. A big spoonful please.
Then stir in the chocolate and peanut butter chips. Try the dough. A big spoonful please.
Scoop a rounded tablespoonful of the dough and drop onto a baking sheet until you have used all the dough except for 1 tablespoon. Eat that. Be sure to leave about 1 inch between the cookies because they spread as they bake.
Then put in the oven for some hot lovin' and bake until nice and golden brown, about 10 minutes.
When done, remove the cookies from the baking sheets with a spatula and place on cooling racks.
Eat away and let the force be with you!
