During the third season of "True Blood," Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) and his rival Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) barely survived the wraith of Russell Edgington (Dennis O’Hare); the ancient and crazed vampire king who held a serious grudge against them and their mutual lover, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin).
Together, Eric and Bill left the badly injured Russell in the foundation of a building before entombing him in concrete. In theory, Russell would be out of the way for centuries, if not forever. But in the fourth season finale, someone went through a lot of trouble to free Russell. And judging from Alcide's (Joe Manganiello) initial findings, a vampire glamoured his men before retrieving Russell.
Two questions immediately spring to mind: Who even knew where Russell was buried? And why would any vampire want to see him walk free?
In the latest "True Blood" season five preview, we get a behind-the-scenes look as Eric confronts the most likely suspect: Pam (Kristin Bauer); whose jealously towards Eric's relationship with Sookie threatened the bond she had with her sire.
And if that's not enough "True Blood" excitement for the day, HBO has also released the first teaser poster for season five:
"True Blood" will return to HBO on Sunday, June 10.
