For the last two seasons, AMC's "The Walking Dead" has surpassed all expectations and transformed into one of the most popular TV series on cable. And because the second season spilled into 2012, fans won't have to wait too long for new episodes of "The Walking Dead."
AMC has released the first behind-the-scenes promo video from "The Walking Dead" season 3, as cast members Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun, Laurie Holden and IronE Singleton tease the events to come while executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Glen Mazzara and Greg Nicotero drop a few hints of their own.
Of particular note, Hurd confirms where most of the next season will be set and Holden mentions that more new characters are coming to the series who have yet to be officially announced. Also, Cohen, Reedus and Yeun seem to be covered in greater amounts of blood and filth than usual…
Earlier this year, "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman revealed that Danai Gurira will play the fan favorite, Michonne while David Morrissey will appear as The Governor; the most iconic villain from the original "Walking Dead" comic book series.
"The Walking Dead" is expected to return to AMC in October 2012.
