For years, NBC has been known for its willingness to spend millions on the exclusive U.S. broadcasting rights for the Olympics. And now the network seems committed to using that as a staging ground for its new shows.

Near the end of the Olympics, two of NBC's new comedies: "Go On" and "Animal Practice" will receive special preview screenings on NBC without any commercials. Additionally, the fantasy inspired drama "Grimm" will return for its second season on Monday, August 13; the day after the closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

NBC's hit singing competition series "The Voice" will return on Monday, September 10 after receiving a major promotional push from the first "Football Night in America" of the season on the night before. NBC will also get a one week jump on the traditional premiere week by bringing back "The Office," "Parks & Recreation" and "Up All Night" back on Thursday, September 20; with the new drama "Revolution" premiering on Monday, September 17.

The other new drama, "Chicago Fire" is being held back until Wednesday, October 10. "Community" and "Whitney" will have to wait until Friday, October 19 to begin airing new episodes on their new night ahead of "Grimm" in its regularly scheduled timeslot.
