Things have been looking pretty grim on "True Blood" this season. With the newly radicalized Authority in control, the vampires seem to be well on the verge of turning our world into a giant feeding ground for their kind.
Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) may have been one of the few vampires inclined to oppose that agenda, but there's not much he can do now that Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) has betrayed him to Salome (Valentina Cervi).
Back in Bon Temps, the Obamas supernatural hate group may have been crushed, but Sookie Stackhouse ( Anna Paquin) was warned by her faerie allies that the vampires are the ones responsible for the destruction of the True Blood factories as a pretense to begin hunting humans for food.
In the first preview clip from this week's episode, Sookie is alone in her house and feeling unusually paranoid when she receives a knock at the door from a familiar face.
If you didn't recognize Sookie's visitor, that's Mike Spencer (John Billingsley), a funeral director in Bon Temps. Mike's appeared a few times throughout the series and it's been hinted that he harbors sexual fantasies about Sookie even earlier this season. But judging from his dialogue here, Mike may no longer be human...
For the second preview clip, we catch up to Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) as they meet at Merlotte's (seriously, is this the only restaurant in Bon Temps?!). Things have been a little awkward between Jessica and Jason since she forcibly bit him and he shot her in the head. But Jason did keep his promise to save Hoyt (Jim Parrack); which may salvage their friendship...
