"Stop! Stop this, stop it... That is naughty in the extreme."
Monty Python is back... mostly... with A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman, a new 3D animated film tha reunites John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam and the late Graham Chapman, who recorded his part in the adaptation of his autobiography as an audio book before his death in 1989. What Eric Idle was doing when all this was going on is uncertain. He was not part of the original announcement in 2011, but producers had said they were "working on him."
The first trailer for A Liar's Autobiography, which comes courtesy of Twitch Film, display's Chapman's signature wit and a broad range of animation styles befitting a film farmed out to 14 animation studios. How it will work as a feature is uncertain, but we can at least be confident that A Liar's Autobiography will be something to behold for the novelty factor alone. With a little luck, the end result could be a fitting ode to the late comic genius, and a lovely treat for Python fans everywhere. You know, like a crunchy frog.
