It seems as though my prayers have been answered - Green Lantern is no longer about king douchebag Hal Jordan. At least not for the immediate future. That means I can buy it with a reasonable expectation of not being actively annoyed by it.
Instead, as we've seen in Green Lantern #0, Jordan and Sinestro have been done away with, and their malfunctioning green ring has gone to Simon Baz, a car thief who's been wrongly suspected of terrorism thanks to an extremely ill-timed mishap involving a stolen car with a bomb in it. In the midst of his "enhanced interrogation," Baz was sprung by an emerald savior, which has spiked immediate distrust of the entire Green Lantern Corps in the American government, going right through "Nu" Amanda Waller to the president of the United States. In this preview, we learn just what they know about the four human GLCers, a tidbit about Kyle Rayner's tenure, and that they are right not to trust what's going on with the Emerald Knights these days.
