Marc Webb's doing the rounds for the Blu-ray release of Amazing Spider-Man, and he's not shy about dropping hints for Amazing Spider-Man 2, on the fast track to theaters on May 2, 2012. In a recent Q&A on the director's Twitter page (via Coming Soon), the director was careful not to drop too many hints about the sequel's plot, but he was willing to tease some new costume changes for the superhero and confirm the heretofore only rumored casting of Shailene Woodly as Mary Jane Watson.

When asked if there was any truth to the casting rumors, Webb spun the following tweet:

@target @mewfan1 @shailenewoodley YES! She's the jam – love her, look forward to working with her in ASM2. #targetchat #amazingspiderman

Then, when asked if costume changes were in store for Spider-Man, he teased…

Bigger eyes? We can deal with that. Gnarly webshooters? Does this mean they'll no longer have the Lite Brite red flashes when they fire, or that they're going to be as retro as the expression "gnarly?"

Finally, when asked if his drama and romance-centric superhero film would lead to a more action and webswinging-centric sequel, the director stated the following:

Well, that's something. We're more concerned that the film has a more cohesive plotline and relatable hero, but that's just us.
