Tech Squibs: iShower Gets Your Music Wet

The iShower uses Bluetooth to get your music wet alongside you during bath time.

SQUIB: a : a short humorous or satiric writing or speech; b : a short news item. (Merriam-Webster)

This Tech Squib could either encourage or kill off singing in the shower. It all depends if you want to sing over your favorite songs while your scrubbing your naughty bits.

The battery-powered, water resistant (Nobody says waterproof anymore) iShower uses Bluetooth technology to carry any music on your laptop, smartphone or MP3 player to the beach, the swimming pool, shower, bathtub, etc. Anything your device plays will route through the iShower via its wireless connection.

We tried it out and, it works flawlessly. The pairing process is easy and runs according to instruction, allowing up to five devices to link up. Sound quality is not off the charts, but its adequate – especially in a shower space. The 200-foot Bluetooth range also allows for playback at the beach with your player in a car or out at the pool with your music source indoors.

Compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android devices, the user can also control the source device from the iShower unit. While not an elite audio device (and maybe a little overpriced because of that), its water resistant qualities make it an entertaining gadget.
