To honor the 50th Anniversary of James Bond – and the new James Bond film, "Skyfall" – the Los Angeles-based dealer Galpin Aston Martin is presenting a version of Bond's 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Superleggera at the 2012 LA Auto Show.

It's actually a DB6 reverse engineered to look like Bond's ride, but – after its Q-ish modifications – it's easily identified as the most famous movie car in the world – and maybe just the most famous car in the world, period. Bond's Aston Martin DB5 made its movie debut in "Goldfinger." Thanks to special effects man John Stears, the iconic car came fully equipped with an ejector seat, machine guns, bullet proof shield, etc.

Another similarly-equipped Aston Martin DB5 Superleggera appears with Daniel Craig in a magical moment from "Skyfall." So Galpin arranged to have a recreation of the Goldfinger car and props from Craig's latest go as Bond on display at the Auto Show

During the media sneak preview, Crave Online had a chance to get up close to the car for some quick photos, including a look at its gadget-loaded interior. See below:
