The bad news: BioShock Infinite has been pushed back yet again. However, the delay is not that severe, so rest easy.

Over at the official Irrational Games website, creative director Ken Levine has posted a message to fans saying the development team is in final polish mode with BioShock Infinite. But in order to ensure the dev team stamps out all the game’s bugs, the title has been pushed back a few weeks to March 26, 2013. The game was originally scheduled for late February.

Here’s Levine’s official wordage:

"Work on the game is now down to final polish and bugfixing. In order to give the team a few more weeks of this polish, the release date of BioShock Infinite is March 26th.

We know that this is going to ruffle some feathers. But we’re willing to take the heat to make sure that BioShock Infinite is 100% the game our fans deserve."

This puts BioShock Infinite’s release in the same month as the Tomb Raider reboot, God of War: Ascension and Gears of War: Judgment. The early months of 2013 are absolutely stacked with huge games.
