Eliza Dushku is heading back to television.

Deadline is reporting that Dushku has signed on to the recently announced revival of “The Saint.” Dushku will portray Patricia Holm, the on-again, off-again lover of Adam Rayner’s Simon Templar; a modern day Robin Hood who targets the rich and steals for himself in addition to freelance spy gigs.

Dushku previously starred in “Tru Calling” and “Dollhouse” on Fox, but she is perhaps best known for playing Faith Lehane on “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Angel.” Dushku has also appeared in several feature films including Wrong Turn, Bring It On, The New Guy, True Lies, City by The Sea, The Alphabet Killer and Soul Survivors.

The reboot of “The Saint” is being written by Jesse Alexander (“Lost”) with Simon West attached to direct the pilot episode. The Deadline report also reveals that Roger Moore — who portrayed Simon Templar in the original ‘60s incarnation of “The Saint” — has joined the revival as a co-producer alongside his son, Geoffrey Moore.

Production of “The Saint” pilot is expected to begin this week and the project is currently moving forward without network involvement. However, the finished pilot will likely be a major selling point as “The Saint” is shopped around at the various networks.
