A week after Tom Rogic moved from Central Coast Mariners to Scottish Premier League giants Celtic, another young A-League star is attracting attention from two European powerhouse clubs.

Melbourne Victory’s Marco Rojas is being heavily scouted by English Premier League club Liverpool and Serie A club Juventus.

Both clubs will be watching the 21-year-old New Zealander play this weekend against Alessandro Del Piero’s Sydney FC. The European clubs won't bid (the transfer window closes at the end of January) before they see Rojas in person.

Rojas is out of contract at the end of the current A-League season and the Mariners will be looking for a large figure if they are to part with their young star.

The Herald Sun reported last week that Rojas, who has kicked 10 goals from 15 A-League appearances this season, wouldn’t be leaving the league this year.

Father Rodi Rojas said his son wouldn’t be considering any overseas offers and was more focused on the Mariners’ season. The older Rojas also mentioned an extension with the Mariners was also a possibility.

The A-League website is also reporting that Central Coast striker Bernie Ibini could also be headed to Europe.

The 20-year-old trialled last week with Club Brugge of Belgium. He scored two goals for the club’s youth team.

Mariners coach Graham Arnold said a transfer figure had already been negotiated with the club and the Mariners were waiting for their decision.

"If Brugge like what they see, they can say 'Yes, we want him', the transfer amount will be activated and the kid will be off to Belgium dependent on his own personal terms," Arnold said.
