What To Do During Super Bowl Dead Weekend

Looking for something to do this weekend while you wait for the Super Bowl next week? We got you covered.

The last week of January is the worst sports weekend of the year. Seriously, who watches the Pro Bowl? No one should; especially you.

Instead, here are some sports orientated ideas to get you by before the big game next weekend.

Fantasy Baseball
The best way to win your Fantasy league is knowledge. Start cramming now.

There were dozens of movements that will affect the draft status. Will Ben Revere make a leap in his new home in Philly? Will Martin Prado lose RBI and Runs in the Arizona desert? Where do you rank Allen Craig? Answer those questions and you’re on your way. Start finding your key targets and who you’ll avoid.

X Games
The ESPN sponsored X Games is happening this weekend. Except basketball, it is the biggest event to watch on television. From the warmth and safety of your couch, you can watch history be attempted in snowboarding. Shaun White and Mark McMorris will attempt a “Triple Cork” which is the snowboard equivalent of skateboarding’s 760.

Honestly, it doesn’t matter how much you know of the actual sports. It is action packed and the commentators always explain what’s happening.

Your Girlfriend
Prove to your girlfriend you can spend time doing stuff that she wants during football season. Three simple steps:
1. Hype up the Pro Bowl
2. Suggest that you’ll tape the game and go anywhere she wants
3. Reap the benefits when March Madness comes around.

Don’t have a girlfriend? Spend this time working on that.

Laker Hating
On Sunday, the Oklahoma City Thunder go into Los Angeles to face off against the Lakers. The Lakers have been a road wreck to watch. This version of the Lakers is one of the greatest for any Laker hater. The Thunder should have a field day.

Oscar Gambling
The only thing I like betting on more than football is betting on the Oscars. Go watch Life of Pi or Lincoln and bone up. Read an article on the documentaries. The money won in Oscar betting is just as green as in football.
