It isn’t hard to make an impression at a Super Bowl party with the right food item.
This article is for those guy out there that don’t know the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon. This is for the guy who bring beer or chips to a party and call it even. This is for the guy who knows how to grill and not much else.
Most importantly, this is for the guy who should know there will be a spike in female attendance at any Super Bowl party. There will be girls. And, those girls will be talking about the food spread while you’re making prop bets. Think on it and thank us later.
It is easy to wow them… almost as easy as these are to make.
Ingredients – chips, ground beef, shredded cheese, can of olives, can of cut jalapenos, salsa, guacamole.
Brown the meat. Get one of those big glass pans or any cookie sheet. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Layer chips, then beef, then cheese, then chips, then cheese and then olives and jalepenos. Throw the salsa around the edges. Leave in the oven for 20 minutes. Guacamole to top.
One taste and you’ll be called Genarlismo for the army of awesomness you brought.
Nuclear Buffalo Wing Dip
Ingredients – four skinless chicken breasts (they sell can versions too), 2 packages of cream cheese, 10-12 oz. ranch dressing, 1 package of shredded cheddar cheese, your favorite buffalo sauce.
Cook and shred chicken. Throw all the ingredients into a big pot or slow cooker. Stir often. Serve warm with chips.
This stuff looks like nuclear waste but it will cause a meltdown of taste buds.
Beefy Macky N’ Cheesy
Ingredients – Two boxes of Kraft Mac N’ Cheese (it will ask for milk and butter), 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 package of taco seasoning
Make the boring macaroni and cheese per instructions on box. Grill the beef with the taco seasoning. Combine. Bonus: Add a diced tomato.
I’m amazed at how many people are impressed by this easy dish. No one realizes that I’ve taken something dorm rats make and simply added a few things.
Ingredients – 2 pounds meat (choose one or many), 1 can of kidney beans, 1 can of black beans, 1 big can of chili beans, 1 box of chili powder. Bonus items: 1 chopped onion, 1 can of sliced carrots, shredded cheese, sliced tomatoes
Grill meat. Add all ingredients to a big pot or slow cooker. Cook on low. The longer you can cook the better (don’t break 6 hours you’re first time).
The best part of chili is that you can’t mess it up and you can add whatever you like. Best of all, no one hates chili.
Ingredients – 1 package of hot dogs, 1 can of Pillsbury crescent rolls, 1 package of spicy jack cheese. Bonus: Hot Sauce
Open crescent rolls. Lay a slice of cheese on each roll. Dribble hot sauce. Roll a hot dog into each crescent. Lay on cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees in oven.
The great thing about Howling Dogs are they are grab-and-go, so you don’t have to miss a second of the game.
Most Super Bowl parties have a ton of people which means more chips and drinks than any party can handle. Be a man and plant your own flag… and impress the ladies.
