In the world of “Game of Thrones,” few locations are as intimidating as beyond the Wall, a frozen land filled with Wildings, White Walkers and perhaps a few creatures only hinted at within HBO’s epic fantasy series.

Before HBO brings fans back to Westros for a third season, a recently released preview video offers viewers a look behind-the-scenes as the cast and crew film in Iceland to capture the otherworldly quality of the land beyond the Wall.

“Intensity of Iceland” provides viewers with a glimpse of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) with the King Beyond the Wall, Mance Rayder (Ciarán Hinds) and it also gives us a first look at Kristofer Hivju as Tormund Giantsbane and Mackenzie Crook as Orell as they offer their perspective as well.

Actress Rose Leslie, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and directors Alex Graves and Daniel Minahan also chime in as they explain the challenges of filming in Iceland with only five hours of daylight per day.

“Game of Thrones” Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, March 31 on HBO.
