Update: CD Projekt RED has released the first teaser trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. There's no gameplay, but that's one mean looking wolf emblem.
Original story follows…
Original Story: CD Projekt RED teased another game reveal at the very end of their Cyberpunk 2077 trailer that wouldn’t be Cyberpunk related. It looks like that title is indeed another sequel to the company’s popular Witcher brand, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The game is all over the cover of the March issue of Game Informer (cover below), which is accessible to digital subscribers now. The game world of The Witcher 3 is, according to the GI cover story, about 20% larger than Bethesda’s Skyrim, making it much larger than any environment found in the previous two Witcher games.
The title is being build using CD Projekt RED’s next-gen graphics engine, REDengine 3. It’s said to be for “those wild dreamers who want it all." Consider us pumped.
The mag also states it takes 30-40 minutes to cross the game world on horseback. Geralt's memory is fully restored. There are no chapters/acts. And finally, the title is coming out on all "top-of-the-line consoles," solidifying it will be a next-gen game – arguably a system seller.
When we hear more about The Witcher 3 – or see a trailer – we’ll be back to report on it.
