The air was crisp, the sun was bright and the grass sparkled with the morning dew. The smell of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the morning air. I dropped a golf ball onto my turf square at the range and looked out over the hills. My grip was firm but relaxed as I eased into my backswing and exploded forward through my first practice drive of the morning.
"Looks good." I hear from the man next to me.
"Don't waste all your good ones over here," he joked, "save it for the course!"
I looked up to respond and quickly realized that Principal Belding was giving me golf advice. I took a few more solid practice drives and heeded the advice of the man I had listened to for so many years of my youth.
And then the tournament began.
We were teamed up with action sports personality, Sal Masekela. I won't bore you all with a play-by-play of a bunch of terrible golfers playing for 4 hours, but in the end we all just stopped counting strokes…
The important part of the tournament was the great work they do to raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation.
All in all, it was a great experience. One of the reasons I was able to enjoy the trip was thanks to Clear Men Scalp Therapy. I don't really want to bludgeon you guys with advertising, but for the last 6 years or so I have spent about 79 cents on shampoo each time and I have officially stopped. I'm actually spending a normal amount of money on shampoo because I like it so much. It's great stuff, and you can check out more info at the Official Clear Men Facebook Page. You can also enter to win tix to the 2013 ESPY's!
Hey guys! It's been a couple weeks but I went on another golf trip! This time, Degree for Men brought me to New Jersey to play golf with Mark Sanchez at Trump National in Bedminster, NJ. Check it out!
