“Copper” Begins Production On Season 2

New cast and executive producer join the team.

An announcement has been made that production on season 2 of the hit drama "Copper" is currently underway.

Actor Donal Logue from "Sons of Anarchy" is joining the cast, which also includes Tom Weston-Jones ("World Without End," "Spooks") as lead character Detective Corcoran, Kyle Schmid ("Being Human," "Arrow"), and Anastasia Griffith ("Once Upon a Time," "Royal Pains"). Additionally, executive producer Thomas Kelly ("Blue Bloods") has also been added to the production team.

"Copper" is an 1860s New York City drama that follows an Irish-American cop who seeks justice for the powerless in the notorious immigrant neighborhood of Five Points. It was BBC America's highest-rated original drama series and they are shooting in Toronto through till the summer of this year.

“Season two is driven by flawed and haunted characters living in explosive times,” said Tom Fontana, a three-time Emmy-award winner and creator of the show. “Each of them is looking for renewal in the wake of last season’s revelations and violent upheaval. The on-going storylines follow Detective Corcoran and company on their paths to redemption or ruin.”
