Ottawa-born actor Jay Baruchel as well as a number of other Canadian talent will hand out awards at the Canadian Screen Awards next month.
CBC Television and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television recently announced a number of presenters for the awards, which will be hosted by comedian Martin Short. Others include Kim Coates ("Goon"), Enrico Colantoni ("Flashpoint"), James Cromwell ("Still Mine"), Arlene Dickinson ("Dragons’ Den"), Erica Durance ("Saving Hope"), Marc-André Grondin ("Goon"), Allan Hawco ("Republic of Doyle"), Catherine O'Hara ("Frankenweenie"), Brad Smith ("The Bachelor Canada"), and Meg Tilly ("Bomb Girls").
A special pre-show will be hosted by the ever-popular and funny Shaun Majumder, a "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" regular and host of the new "Majumder Manor" on W Network. Majumder will mix and mingle with the nation’s finest in film and television on the red carpet, giving audiences an all-access tour as Canada’s stars of stage and screen make their way into the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts for the the first-ever Canadian Screen Awards.
The show will be broadcast on March 3rd starting at 8pm.
