Nintendo held another one of the company’s Nintendo Direct live streams this morning to make a few announcements regarding upcoming software for both the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.

The theme of today’s presentation was definitely Luigi, as Mario’s often forgotten brother will be getting the spotlight in a number of upcoming titles throughout the year. Firstly, Nintendo will release a DLC pack for New Super Mario Bros. U that introduces Luigi as a playable character and provides alternate takes to the game’s 80+ stages. Additionally, Nintendo announced Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a new RPG headed to the 3DS this summer. Lastly, at least on the Mario-world front, Nintendo revealed a new Mario Golf title, called Mario Golf: World Tour, coming to 3DS this summer as well.

Nintendo plans to release Animal Crossing: New Leaf in North America on June 9. The game is said to be “the definitive version of Animal Crossing,” if you’re into the series in the first place. The 3DS will also be getting a 3D port of the acclaimed Donkey Kong Country Returns, which originally hit the Wii in 2010. And speaking of Donkey Kong, Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move will be coming soon to the 3DS through the Nintendo eShop.

Lastly, Nintendo announced Disney Infinity will be headed to the Wii U and Wii this summer, as well as confirmed a number of other titles coming to the company's new system, like Injustice: Gods Among Us, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
