After two seasons on A&E’s “Breakout Kings,” Domenick Lombardozzi is coming home to HBO.
Deadline is reporting that Lombardozzi has been cast in the upcoming fourth season of “Boardwalk Empire” as Ralph Capone, the older brother of the infamous Chicago gangster, Al Capone (Stephen Graham).
The historical Ralph Capone earned the nickname “Bottles” because he ran some of the largest bottling operations in Chicago that were actually legitimate businesses. But Ralph Capone was also involved in his younger brother’s criminal enterprises and he once earned the questionable distinction of being named “Public Enemy Number Three” when Al Capone was labeled “Public Enemy Number One.”
Lombardozzi has a long history at HBO, including his co-starring role in “The Wire” and guest stints on “Entourage,” “OZ,” “Bored To Death” and the TV movie, 61*. Lombardozzi also had roles in “NYPD Blue,” “Third Watch,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “24” among other TV and film roles. He is also appearing the upcoming movies, Malavita and Blood Ties.
“Boardwalk Empire” Season 4 is expected to debut this fall on HBO.
