Bungie, the creators of Halo, have finally pulled the curtain back on their next game, called Destiny. The title is being published by Activision and will be the first time a Bungie game goes multiplatform, although exactly what systems it's headed to remain a mystery. Destiny is a first-person shooter with a heavy emphasis on internet connectivity – meaning it's best played with friends/strangers online. It's also being reported that the game requires an internet connection to play – although there's no monthly fee – even if you want to roll solo.

Over at Bungie.net, the company revealed the game’s first trailer in video documentary form, which you can see below. You get a brief taste of the game’s story setup, as well as a look at title’s environments, creatures and playable characters. So check that out.

I’m sure there will be plenty of Destiny news to follow. Prepare for the impending media blitz over the next few months.
