In just 37 days, HBO will premiere the third season of George R. R. Martin’s “Game of Thrones.”

When we left off last year, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) had fallen from power despite saving the throne and King’s Landing for his family as an army of dead people were being led by White Walkers to stage an invasion of the seven kingdoms of Westros.

And things are only going to get more intense in the new season.

HBO has unveiled the first trailer for “Game of Thrones” Season 3 that offers glimpses of a tense moment between Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) and Tyrion, Joffrey Baratheon’s (Jack Gleeson) latest arrogant pronouncement, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) surrounded by an impressive army, Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) telling her son, Robb (Richard Madden) what to do with their enemies, Mance Rayder’s (Ciarán Hinds) bold promise, a dragon in flight and… someone climbing the Wall?!

“Game of Thrones” returns on Sunday, March 31 on HBO. But if you that you can’t wait, just remember the words of  Lord Varys (Conleth Hill): “The revenge you want will be yours… in time.”
