CD Projekt RED sent out a batch of new screenshots of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt today. They are, in a word, glorious. These come from an early build of the title, too. You can check them out in the gallery above.
Also, some information about how the game’s open world works was released. According to CD Projekt RED’s leader Adam Badowski, The Witcher 3 "is full of impactful decisions, and gamers will choose between storylines that exclude one another in a single playthrough, ensuring extensive replay value." If you’ve played The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, this should sound familiar.
Additionally, The Witcher 3 wraps up the story of Geralt and his search for his loved ones and his conflict with the Wild Hunt. This is the big trilogy concluder. CD Projekt is says the main story of The Witcher 3 takes roughly 50 hours to complete, with an additional 50 hours of side-quests strewn about the open world, making the grand total of playtime nearly 100 hours. That’s a hell of a lot of The Witcher, folks. And it sounds marvelous.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is headed to PC, PS4 and all other “high-end platforms” in 2014.
