“True Blood” Season 6 is only a few months away, but the show has just cast its latest performer.

TVLine  is reporting that Karolina Wydra has signed on to play Violet, “a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous” vampire who is said to be “on par with” Eric Northman and Bill Compton.

Wydra is perhaps best known for her recurring role on “House” as Dominika Petrova, the green card wife of Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie). Wydra has previously appeared in Crazy, Stupid, Love; Be Kind Rewind, Seconds, After Ana and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

Among the new additions to “True Blood” are Rutger Hauer in a role rumored to be the mysterious Warlow, Rob Kazinsky as a faerie named Ben (who is said to be Sookie’s new boyfriend), Arliss Howard as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell and Amelia Rose Blaire as Burrell’s daughter.

“True Blood” will return to HBO this summer, with a premiere date likely to fall within June.
