Season 2 of the SLICE show "King of the Nerds" is returning with 11 new geeks and gamers who are vying for ultimate nerd supremacy.
Following a triumphant first season that saw Orillia, Ontario’s Celeste Anderson, take home the title crown, 11 new competitors will move in to the fantasy-filled Nerdvana mansion and battle it out in a series of challenges that will name a nerdy new victor.
"King of the Nerds" puts competitors face-to-face in challenges that test their intellect, ingenuity, skills, and pop-culture prowess, competing first as teams, before moving on to solo challenges. Season two brings forth a dynamic series of nerdy challenges from Robot Dodgeball to a full-scale Science Fair. Only one can be crowned King – or Queen – of the nerds, taking home the grand prize of $100,000 and eternal bragging rights.
Hosted by Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong, idolized for their roles in the timeless classic film "Revenge of the Nerds," the series will feature a star-studded line-up of guest appearances including Bill Nye ("Bill Nye the Science Guy," "Dancing With the Stars"), Mayim Bialik ("The Big Bang Theory"), Jon Heder ("Napoleon Dynamite"), Kevin Sorbo ("Hercules"), Kumail Nanjiani ("Franklin & Bash"), a "Revenge of the Nerds" cast reunion, and return appearances by George Takei ("Star Trek") and Yaya Han (professional cosplayer).
This year’s competitors range from a library science scholar and a bioengineering student, to two video game vloggers, a roboticist, and a “nerdcore” rapper. It begins on Wednesday, January 29th at 10pm.
