Cleveland Cavaliers Finalize Training Camp Roster.
Is it enough?
by James LeBeau

The Cleveland Cavaliers finalized their training camp roster when free-agent forward Rob Kurz agreed to a non-guaranteed contract offer Tuesday to join the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 6-9 Kurz, a second year player that spent his rookie season with Golden State, is known for his outside shooting and with the Cavaliers having only 12 guaranteed contracts, has a good chance of making the team if he performs well early.

With the roster finalized (for now), now's a good time to take a look at the 2009-2010 Cleveland Cavaliers and ask, is it enough?

No, I'm not delving into the whole 'will LeBron stay or will he go' argument, there will be plenty of time for that during the season, for today I'm just wondering if the team, as they have now, is enough to win the NBA Championship this upcoming season. They were a 60+ win team last season and have improved over the offseason.

Gone are Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, Joe Smith and Wally Szcerbiak. These guys, role players all, were not vital pieces to the teams on court success but were key to team moral. They have been replaced by Shaquille O'Neal, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker, and Kurz. On paper, the replacements far outweigh the former squad and add depth, talent, and fill key holes that were exposed in the playoffs last season. But are they enough to put Cleveland over the hump?

The answer to this question is, of course, wait and see, but from my perspective, this is a team that could win 70 games. Barring the dreaded injury bug, this bunch of Cavs are primed for a record setting year, ending with LeBron hoisting the Championship trophy.

Sorry Orlando, Boston, San Antonio, and Los Angeles; this is the year of the King.

But will a championship be enough to keep the King in Cleveland?

Now that's an interesting question.
