At 108-54, this team coasted through the season, finishing 15 games ahead of the Yankees and losing only one game in the postseason. They ended up demolishing the Reds in five to earn their ring.

Another team to crack the 100 win barrier with a 107-45 regular season record. They lost game one of the World Series in 12 innings but rallied to take the next four from the Tigers by a combined 16-4.

The best baseballl team of all time, period. They finished 110-44 and swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the World Series. They outscored their opponents 975 to 599 and lets look at that line-up. They had Lou Gehrig at first, Tony Lazzeri at second and had a couple of other players by the name of Earle Combs and Babe Ruth. And let's not forget this was the season Ruth hit 60 home runs, a record that would hold for 34 years.
