10. 1969-70 New York Knicks (60-22)

The Championship won by this 69-70 squad was the first for this fabled franchise. Known primarily as a great passing team, these Knicks  rode a 18 game winning streak into the best season in Knicks history. They defeated the Lakers in seven games to win the Title.

9. 2007-08 Boston Celtics (66-16)

This pick will be a head scratcher among the 'experts' but the skills represented by the threesome of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett (three future Hall of Fame surefires) are not to be denied. The Celtics completed a 42 game swing from the previous season by beating the Lakers in 6 to win their first title in 17 seasons.

8. 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers (65-17)

Led by the acquisition of Moses Malone, the 82-83 76ers glided through the regular season with ease and put up a stunning 12-1 postseason record on their way to the Title. Malone won MVP for the second straight season.

7. 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers (69-13)

With Wilt Chamberlain controlling the middle and Jerry West roaming the perimeter, this Lakers team was a force to be reckoned with. They snapped off a logic-defying 33 straight wins en route to beating the Knicks 4-1 in the final.

6. 1985-86 Boston Celtics (67-15)

Larry Bird, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, and Bill Walton...man this team was stacked and it showed all through the regular and postseason, where the only challenge they faced was the Houston Rockets, who took them to six in the Finals. Larry Bird also won his third consecutive league MVP this season.
