Floyd Mayweather Jr. has always been a little full of himself but when you are that good you are allowed to be. Mayweather has recently refused to answer questions about failed negotiations for what would be the biggest fight in boxing in the last decade, Mayweather versus Pacquiao.
Now the boxer is speaking out in a profanity-filled racist youtube video rant. The video was made on Thursday and is almost 10 minutes long. Mayweather apparently filmed the video in his home with some of his crew in the background. He repeatedly accuses Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs, which resulted in a defamation lawsuit against Mayweather earlier this year.
"I'm on vacation for about a year, about a year," Mayweather explained. "As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain't worried about that. So they ain't gotta worry about me fighting the midget. Once I kick the midget's ass, I don't want you all to jump on my d***. So you all better get on the bandwagon now. Once I stomp the midget, I'll make that mother f***** make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice."
Pacquiao is currently on a three city tour to promote his November 13 fight with Antonio Margarito, which is only taking place because Mayweather refused to fight him.
“The video speaks for itself,” Pacquiao told ESPN.com in a statement given by his publicist, Fred Sternburg. It would seem Pacquiao is going to keep quiet and hope to let his fist to the talking.
This is quite a different story from what Mayweather said earlier this year. The 33-year-old seemed unsure if he would ever step back in the ring. However, this video cleared it up for everyone that not only does he want to fight again but thinks it will be a synch to beat Pacquiao.
Later in the video, Mayweather even went off about Pacquiao's record, despite the fact he has not lost a fight since 1995.
“'Poochiao' got three losses and two draws and been knocked out twice," Mayweather said. "So, like I said before, once I beat him it's going to be a cakewalk and it's on to the next. We know Pacquiao made $6 million in his last fight and Floyd Mayweather made $65 million in his last fight. Three losses, two draws. Ohhh, hell no, this is America baby. We built on winning. Step your game up, f*****. That mother f***** Pacquiao, he can't speak no English.”
Who knows how much longer we will have to wait for this fight to get ironed out but it would seem once Mayweather comes out of retirement, it will only be a matter of time before boxing gets one of the best match-ups it has seen in quite some time.
