Lingerie Football League Season Kicks Off

Football + Hot Chicks In Lingerie = Awesome.

The Lingerie Football League is exactly what it sounds like: scantily-clad women playing full-contact football. What began as a novelty pay-per-view halftime show during the 2004 Super Bowl became a full-fledged league of its own — complete with ten national teams who play seven-on-seven tackle football.

The league holds its first round of games for the season this Friday, when the Chicago Bliss faces off against the Miami Caliente. Cutesy names, right? One piece of advice: don't mistake beauty for weakness:

Yes, they can definitely kick your ass.

Every Friday from September 4th will be an LFL game date, culminating of course in the Lingerie Bowl this coming February. Some of the most most stunning athletes in the world will go head to head wearing next to nothing, for your viewing pleasure! Ten teams ranging from California to New York, Miami to Seattle, each one sexier than the last, will compete in a 20-week season with games being played at major arenas and stadiums.

The Chicago Bliss, Tampa Breeze, Miami Caliente, The Philadelphia Passion and the New York Majesty make up the LFL Eastern Conference. The Western Conference also has five teams: The Dallas Desires, The Denver Dream, Seattle Mist, The Los Angeles Temptation and last but certainly not least, the San Deigo Seduction.

A different kind of football.

The standard offensive formation features 1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 1 center, and 3 wide receivers, while the standard defensive formation features 2 defensive linewomen, 2 linebackers, 2 cornerbacks, and 1 safety. There are no field goals and no punts. The field is 50 yards between end zones, 30 yards wide, and the end zones are 8 yards deep, roughly the same as other indoor leagues - in other words, it's the football equivalent of girl-pushups. But when the players are hot as hell and wearing next to nothing, some liberties have to be taken.

In Game One this Friday, Miami Caliente will head up against Chicago Bliss at 9PM central, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. For more information, check out the LFL's official site.
