With only one of the major four sports going, what will we talk about?

Bad Wood!

Kerry Wood is finally giving the Cubs a few notches in the win column, only problem is he's wearing a Cleveland Indians uniform while doing it. The one time Cub made it two straight failed saves Saturday night as he allowed a game-tying single before throwing a wild pitch that allowed Andres Blanco to score the winning run in the 13th inning.

""There is a lot of pressure on him coming back to Chicago,"" current Cubs closer Kevin Gregg said. "That's weird stuff that's happened to him the last couple of days. ... He'll put his nose down and get through it."

It was Cleveland's AL-leading 13th blown save as a staff and Wood's fourth blown save in 12 chances.

All Hail the Commish!

Cleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth may have got off easy in the courts after getting only 30 days of jail for his guilty plea in a DUI Manslaughter charge but in the court of the NFL, Stallworth is looking at hard time.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell came down hard on the receiver Thursday by handing out an indefinite suspension without pay and warning him that his discipline from the league for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk will be severe.

"The conduct reflected in your guilty plea resulted in the tragic loss of life and was inexcusable," Goodell said in a letter to Stallworth.

'While the criminal justice system has determined the legal consequences of this incident, it is my responsibility as NFL commissioner to determine appropriate league discipline for your actions, which have caused irreparable harm to the victim and his family, your club, your fellow players and the NFL."

Kahne He Do It, Yes He Can!

Kasey Kayne Snapped a 37 race winless streak Sunday when he took the checkered flag at Infineon Raceway at Sonoma, holding off the streaking Tony Stewart, who finished second. This win was a most needed one as Richard Petty Motorsports, who Kahne drives for, has been feeling the financial crush with recent layoffs and company wide salary reductions due to Crystlers bankruptsy.

"It's definitely tough times right now economically, everybody is feeling the pinch,"""" "'' Crew Chief  Kenny Francis said. "What we've tried to do is not let it distract us. It's been difficult, really, to not let that distract you."

Karma, Karma, Karma.

The New York Yankees, losers of four of their last five, received another blow Sunday as ace offseason acquisition C.C. Sabathia left in the second inning with tightness in his left bicep. Though he's not expected to miss a start, any arm problems should be worrisome to the Yankee brass. Add that to the benching of mega-steroid-star Alex Rodriguez due to 'fatigue' and you have to be wondering about the direction of this team if you're a fan.

Pirates Watch!

The spunky Bucco's just can't seem to get over that .500 hundred hump as whenever they get close they turn around and start a losing streak. The latest four game slide came after getting within 3 games of that coveted even record. The Pirates have heart, but they don't look to have the drive.
