[Video] Sports Fix: March Madness 2012

NCAA tournament craziness, Peyton Manning heads to the Broncos and Dwight Howard stays with the Magic.

Josh Helmuth delivers the top sports news stories of the week.

Football news, basketball drama, St. Patrick's Day hangovers! It truly is March Madness.

Let's talk some NCAA tournament basketball first. The opening round began for many teams on Thursday, which for the most part, was a dud, which of course means Friday was insane!

For the first time in NCAA tournament history, two Number 15 seeds took out Number two seeds in the same day, when Norfolk State defeated Mizzou and Lehigh beat Duke. Now while those teams didn't make it to the Sweet 16, none of them, Number 13 seed Ohio did. Yeah, the Bobcats and Number 11 seed NC State, the Wolfpack. Many of the favorites are also still alive in the round of 16 that starts this Thursday, which include Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse, Ohio State,  UNC and Kansas.

In the NFl, it looked as if there were only three teams left in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, Tennessee, and possibly the two favorites: San Francisco and Denver. News came out last week that the Niners held a workout with the future hall of famer that was more inconscipious than an Amishman stuck in a hay field. San Francisco may now be in a bind, now that their current QB, Alex Smith, is meeting with other teams that have included the Dolphins- a team Manning met with a couple weeks ago. Talk about a quarterback carousel, it goes up and down and around. Anyway, as of Monday morning news broke that Manning will most likely sign with the Denver Broncos, pending any contract stipulations during the negotiation process. The Seahawks also signed former back-up Packer quarterback Matt Flynn this past weekend to a 3-year deal worth 26 million bucks.

And after months of secretly demanding a trade, Dwight Howard decides to stay with the Magic for one more year. The self-proclaimed Super-Man, has been as indecisive as a seven year old Josh in a Toys R Us. Hey, it was hard choosing between Eegon from GhostBusters or Donatello. Howard signed papers Thursday agreeing to waive the option in his contract, ensuring he will be with the Magic at the beginning of next season. "I'm glad this is finally over" Howard said in his news conference. Yeah, I'm sure it is. Good luck with that one Magic fans.

But let's end this Sports Fix on a positive note! New York News! Andy Pettitte is making a comeback with the Yankees and The Knicks fired their coach Mike D'Antoni. Ok, the Knicks news probably isn't positive, unless you're the coach taking his place.

That's all your top sports news for this week. Thank you for watching. Be sure to check back right here next Monday, to catch your Sports Fix!
