T.G.I.M.! #168

We talk about the NFL preseason as we get you ready for a week of sports on TV.

We are almost two weeks into the NFL preseason and some things are becoming readily apparent; the biggest being that both Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck both are looking good. There used to be a time where it would actually take a QB at least a season to acclimate to the speed and skill increase that the jump brought from the college to the professional ranks brought; but today these QB's are coming out ready to go, which is probably good because if there is one thing the NFL isn't known for, it's patience with young players.

Another thing that is unfortunately standing out are injuries. This preseason, like them all, I guess, has brought with it a load of injuries to key people and have a number of teams already sweating playing two more games. With all these people dropping, it seriously makes you think that coaches shouldn't play their starters at all during the first two games of the preseason, using those games instead to evaluate new guys and just focus on getting their team ready in the final two games

Monday

(NFL) Philadelphia at New England 8 pm ESPN-It's a tale of two teams with super expectations as the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to clash in this Monday night game. The Eagles are a team whose expectations are much higher than their realities, while the Patriots have been getting it done recently everywhere but the big game. Which team will take that last step this season? Will either?
