Bikini Basketball League To Tip Off This November

Thanks to the success of the Lingerie Football League, we get to see more scantily clad women playing sports!

Move over Lingerie Football League, it's time for a little competition in the 'half naked women playing sports department' with the upcoming debut of the Bikini Basketball League. Set to tip off on November 3, according to their website, the BBL will offer competitive basketball delivered in the least amount of clothes allowed by law.

The BBL, a league for “Sexy Athletic Ladies”, has been around since 2011, according to it's website, but hasn't had any games as of yet. They do, however, have seven teams so far in the league: Atlanta Fleet Angels, Miami Spice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties, Orlando Lady Cats, L.A. Ice and Chicago Desire, with more slated to come. The league has recently taken to Twitter to ask fans if a team should be located in Philadelphia.

As of right now, the BBL are still looking for any players, coaches, sponsors and media that want to join. The Miami New Times is even reporting that tryouts for players will begin in Miami this weekend.

“Players will be chosen based on skills, personality, athleticism, drive, competitiveness and looks,” the flier reads. “Candidates expected to wear sports bra and shorts to try out.”

“This is a competitive basketball league, so we are definitely looking for girls that can really play,” a rep for the Miami team told the newspaper. “It is also a bikini league in which the girls will be playing basketball in bikinis, so looking good in a bikini is a must.”

“They can expect to sweat their hair out and have their basketball skills tested,” the rep continued. “Dribbling, shooting, passing, running, scrimmaging and more. We will also have an interview process where we ask them an array of questions to see if they have the mind-frame and personality that we seek.”

With the start of the Bikini Basketball League, the list of scantily clad women sports grows to three, including the Lingerie Football League and the little known Bikini Hockey League. The BHL isn't quite on par with the other two, as it only boasted two teams this season, leaving fans with little worry that their favorite team was going to make it to the finals.
