Fantasy Football Thanksgiving Day Sleepers

Need a hail mary before your Thanksgiving day induced food coma? Look no further.

Julian Edelman – WR, Patriots

We all know how well the Jets have been able to defend the pass this season. Brandon Lloyd has been a tremendous disappointment and Rob Gronkowskie is now out with a broken arm; not to mention Deion Branch has been released. Because of all the holes in the receiving corps, Edelman was on the field for 52 of the 61 snaps New England had against the Colts last Sunday. He had five catches for 58 yards and a TD while also bringing a punt back for a TD last week. If he's still available in your league, grab him now. He's a No. three WR at best and a most definite superb flex play.

Ryan Broyles – WR, Lions

He's slowly been on the verge of having a breakout season. Last week against the Packers, the kid caught only two passes for 35 yards. However, he did have back-to-back games earlier in the year against tough Seattle and Chicago defenses in which he had a touchdown. Although Detroit faces a tough Houston pass rush on Thursday, Broyles could be the go-to guy for Matthew Stafford with Titus Young out due to disciplinary reasons.

Bilal Powell – RB, Jets

It's likely he's taken in most leagues by now, but Thursday could be Powell's time to shine against the Pats. Shonn Greene has been less than adequate and after being on the radar by many fantasy owners for the past few weeks, Powell finally scored his first two touchdowns of his career last week against the Rams.

Lance Dunbar – RB, Cowboys

The bad news: Dunbar had to have his knee drained after last Sunday's effort against the Browns. The good news is that it's likely he'll still see numerous touches against the Redskins Thursday. Neither DeMarco Murray or Felix Jones practiced Tuesday, so Philliip Tanner and Dunbar are expected to carry the Cowboys' rushing game.
