According to ESPN sources, it is a 'certainty' Tim Tebow is headed to the Jacksonville Jaguars following the end of the 2012 football season.
Here's what was reported on ESPN.com Saturday night:
League sources say it is a virtual certainty Tim Tebow will land a job back home with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
Tebow reportedly will be traded or released after the season, but league sources say the Jets are likely to honor Tebow's forthcoming request to be released and therefore become an unrestricted free agent.
In 2013, the Jaguars will have an open quarterback competition and a team source conceded it's a "high likelihood" Tebow will be part of the mix.
2011 first round pick Blaine Gabbert has bombed; Chad Henne has been incredibly inconsistent; all more reasons for Jax owner Shad Khan to snatch up Tebow, the quarterback he really wanted over a year ago before the Heisman winner chose the Jets over his Jags.
Tebow has been riddled with a rib injury while in the back-up QB slot this season. After months of horrible play from the Jets starter, Mark Sanchez, the team decided to go with former third string QB Greg McElroy over Tebow.
Other teams that have had serious quarterback issues include Cleveland, Kansas City, Oakland, Philadelphia and Arizona. Don't count out those teams completely in the Tebow sweepstakes.
