Chael Sonnen has a lot going on these days. He’s currently training for a Light Heavyweight title fight with Forrest Griffin, coaching a team for the seventeenth season of the Ultimate Fighter on FX and is also doing some work as an analyst for the FOX family of networks.
But the latter recently got him into a pickle after he went and ran his mouth.
The 35-year-old made a bold bet in front of the world that Dan Henderson would defeat Lyoto Machida at UFC 157, but when Machida was awarded a split decision – that some disputed – Sonnen was forced to lick the shoe of former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans during a Fuel TV post-fight show.
Hesitant at first, it took some coercing by Evans before Sonnen owned up to his mistake and slobbered all over the boot. See for yourself:
We have to assume he won’t be making that mistake again anytime soon, as he’s sure to hear about that while training several fighters who are looking to become the next big thing in the UFC.
