Mankind. Cactus Jack. Mick Foley. However you know him, his impact (pun intended) on wrestling is one of the most brutal and storied.
Now Foley is getting his due and entering the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame at the upcoming Wrestlemania 29. In a video this morning, posted to Crave's WrestleZone website, the former extreme wrestler and award-winning author announced his mentor Terry Funk will induct him.
THE DECISION has been made! To find out who will induct me into watch this shocking video!
Funk was involved in one of the most storied matches of Foley's career and in WWE history: Foley vs. Undertaker at the 1998 Hell in a Cell event. The two wrestlers match led both men to the top of a 16 foot cage when Undertaker threw Foley off into an announce table on the ground. (Leading to one of the most memorable calls of all time: "Good God Almighty! Good God Almighty! That killed him. As God is my witness, he is broken in half!") Foley would return to the top of the cage and get choke-slammed through the chain-link onto the mat below.
