Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Bounty Hunters

Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 3 is already underway, and Clone Wars season 2 is now heading to DVD/Blu-ray. The second season focused on the Bounty Hunters of the Star Wars universe; some of them were familiar to fans (Bossk & Aurra Sing), while others were all new for the series. So for those of you that have not checked out season 2 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars yet, we have a look at the Bounty Hunters.

Cad Bane

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Cade Bane

Cad Bane is a bad dude. Bane is a bounty hunter that hails from the planet Duro; known for his ruthlessness and his twin blasters. Bane attracted the attention of both the Jedi and the Sith when he freed gangster Ziro the Hutt from a prison on Coruscant. From then on Bane became employed by the Sith as they worked to destroy the Republic.

Bossk

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Bossk

Fans of the original trilogy should recognize Bossk from the Bounty Hunter scene in The Empire Strikes Back.  Bossk is not only a skilled tracker and hunter, he is also the son of Cradossk, former head of the Bounty Hunters Guild. In season 2 of The Clone Wars, Bossk teams up with fellow bounty hunters Aurra Sing and even his future rival, Boba Fett. Eventually, Bossk would find himself in a Republic prison on Coruscant

Aurra Sing

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Aurra Sing is the rare exception of a character from the expanded Star Wars universe making an appearance in one of the films. If you look hard enough you can find the bounty hunter in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, in the podrace scene. Sing was not always a bounty hunter; as a child she was a Jedi hopeful who eventually turned her back on the Jedi Order, to later become one of the most skilled Jedi hunters in the galaxy.

Sugi

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Sugi

Sugi is a female bounty hunter from the Zabrak species, as was Jedi Master Eeth Koth and the Sith apprentence, Darth Maul. A known associate of the bounty hunters, Rumi Paramita, Embo, and Seripas, Sugi once had a a twenty-five thousand credit bounty for crimes against the Republic. Despite her legal status, she once worked with several Jedi Knights to defend a farming community from pirates.
