"The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" kicks serious ass.

"Arrested Development" fans - particularly those on American shores - have a new definition of hell to look forward to, and it happens to go by the name of "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret".

What in the world is that, you ask? Well, David Cross, everybody's favorite never-nude, is writing and starring in a new show, which co-stars Will Arnett and Spike Jonze. Sounds awesome already, right? Exactly what "Arrested Development" fans have been waiting for (aside from the movie, of course), right? Well, there's a catch. It only airs in the UK.

The plot of the show centers on Todd Margaret, a low-end cubicle filler who's mistakenly sent to England to head up an apparently nonexistent UK branch of his company. Will Arnett plays the egomaniacal boss (think Job Bluth with a filthy mouth, a coke/whores habit and a lot of corporate power), the one who ships Todd a warehouseful of a cheap Korean energy drink called Thunder Muscle and demands that he get rid of it all within a week. Comedy gold? You bet your scone-gobbling ass.

Knowing nothing about British culture and even less about sales, Todd lies and imitates continuously while attempting to hide his ignorance, failing miserably in his quest to do so. His awkward charm fails badly on Alice, the first pretty British girl he meets, but that's just the beginning of Todd's problems. Dave, his British co-worker, soon realizes the fertile comedic soil of Todd’s situation and a whole lotta chaos unfolds. More specifically, a raving-lunatic verbal barrage ensues when Todd attempts to make his first energy drink sale; at Dave's suggestion he chugs four cans of the product and then proceeds to go completely apeshit in the restaurant where he's making his pitch, insulting his potential clients, their homeland and everything else under the sun. I don't want to give too much away, but the entire thing ends with a bout of unconscious incontinence that's somehow, amazingly, perfect.

We'll have to wait a while before it airs on these shores, but the clever ones out there may be able to hunt it down. In the meantime, you've just been given one more reason to move to England. You're welcome.
