Love Court and My Date With...

More and more, music channels have become less about music and more about shows (specifically, reality-based programming), and MuchMusic is no exception. The network has more than twenty shows, ranging from dramas like “One Tree Hill” to reality programs, including “Paris Hilton’s New British Best Friend” and “T.I.’s Road to Redemption.”

So it came as no surprise when MuchMusic announced their plans to launch two new (no, not music videos) reality shows that they’ll add to their regular programming line-up. The first show is “Love Court,” which will follow a new couple who are going on a blind date. Each person will be given challenges that they must complete without the other one knowing, and whoever gets the most challenges will win a cash prize; the other person will, of course, be humiliated, and the mocking will be done by a panel of comedic judges that will include Dini Dimakos and Darrin Rows (both of “Video on Trial” MuchMusic fame), along with Eddie Della Siepe and Andrew Johnston. Look for it starting August 28th at 6pm Eastern.

The other original MuchMusic show, “My Date With...”, will give lucky viewers the opportunity to be treated like a celeb and pampered for the day, and then go on a date with their favourite artist. Hotties like Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Girlicious will be featured in episodes, as well as the Jonas Brothers, Fall Out Boy, and All-American Rejects. If you`re going to tune in, then prepare yourselves for a lot of girly, teenaged squealing and “OMGs.” Check out all the star-studded dating on “My Date With...” after “Love Court” on August 28th 6:30pm.
