If you haven’t seen Ninja Warrior then you have been missing out on one of the coolest shows to come to the G4 network. The show is Japanese and features world class athletes testing their mettle against one of the most aggressive obstacle courses known to man. The course is called Sasuke and it is a bear to say the least. Several contestants try their hand at tackling the course but few are ever successful.
With American audiences being drawn to the show now is the time to add more Americans to the mix. G4 will be hosting try outs for the show in Los Angeles and are encouraged to send video of themselves performing acts of ‘ninjaness’ in order to get a chance for an audition. Send your videos to G4TV.com/AmericanNinja.
“’Ninja Warrior’ has developed a cult following in the U.S. and we are excited to give American fans the opportunity to go to Japan and take part in the legendary competition for the first time,” said Neal Tiles, President, G4. “It is a pleasure to work with Craig Piligian whose track record of producing extraordinary programming speaks for itself. Not only will the series capture the blood, sweat and tears that go into ‘Ninja Warrior’ competitions, it will also reveal the personal stories behind each of the contestants.”
Piligian said, “I’ve been a huge fan of ‘Ninja Warrior’ since it’s been airing on G4 and could not be more thrilled to be partnering with the network as we give American athletes and fans of the franchise the opportunity to test their mettle in this incredibly intense and challenging physical environment. Competitors will have to rely not just on their physical and mental abilities but also on their sheer determination and force of will to make it to the end. We look forward to bringing ‘American Ninja Warrior’ to G4.”
We look forward to watching. Be sure to get those cameras ready because the nationwide casting call begins in August.
