The folks at Entertainment Weekly have learned that the fifth season of Lost will premiere with a two-hour event on Jan. 21, 2009, at 8 p.m. The show airs the day after the 44th presidential inauguration which is also my birthday, for those of you that like to randomly send beer in the mail. The new date signals a return to the shows original Wednesday slot, instead of last season when it aired on Thursday nights.
It's not in stone yet but Lost will probably launch with its first two episodes aired back-to-back, instead of a two-hour versions.
