‘Terra Nova’s’ Landon Liboiron Moves Into ‘Hemlock Grove’

Liboiron joins Eli Roth's original horror series, coming to Netflix in 2013.

For most of the last month, rumors were circulating that the recently canceled "Terra Nova" was potentially heading to Netflix for a second season. And while Netflix ultimately passed on "Terra Nova," at least one of the former stars from that series has a new home on the streaming service.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Landon Liboiron has landed a leading role on "Hemlock Grove," a new Netflix original series from director Eli Roth and novelist Brian McGreevy.

Set to run for 13 episodes in early 2013, "Hemlock Grove" takes place in a dying Pennsylvania steel down after a young girl is found murdered. Liboiron will play Peter, a young man who teams up with Bill Skarsgard's Roman to find the girl's killer and uncover the secrets of Hemlock Grove. Framke Janssen ("X-Men") is also signed on to play Olivia, an otherworldly beautiful woman who controls the town of Hemlock Grove. She also happens to be Peter's mother.

Liboiron is best known to American viewers for his turn as Josh Shannon on "Terra Nova," but his first big break came on the Canadian drama series, "Degrassi: The Next Generation." Liboiron is the latest "Terra Nova" veteran to book a new project after its apparent cancellation by Fox. Jason O'Mara recently signed on to costar in the untitled Ralph Lamb project on CBS while Allison Miller is on NBC's comedy pilot, "Go On."

If "Terra Nova" miraculously finds a new network, O'Mara and Miller will return to the show. But it's looking more and more likely that "Terra Nova" will not be coming back as a series.
