Lizzie Brocheré Joins ‘American Horror Story’ Season 2

The French actress will be a rival of Jessica Lange's character in the new storyline.

With production of the second season of "American Horror Story" heating up, the show has added its first new actress of the year.

According to TVLine, Lizzie Brocheré has signed on for the new season of "American Horror Story" to play a character who was described in a previous casting call as "a fierce, ferocious, extremely sexual and dangerous wild-child sexpot" who will be the nemesis of Jessica Lange's new character.

Brocheré's character has also been compared to Angelina Jolie's persona in Girl, Interrupted; but nothing else has been revealed about her, including her name.

In her native France, Brocheré is well known for several erotically charged films; which means that she should fit in well on this show. The report also seems to indicate that "The Voice" host, Adam Levine's negotiations to join "American Horror Story" for at least an arc have also gone through.

In addition to Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe are all slated to return to the series in completely revamped roles; as the storyline switches to the East Coast and it will take place in what was called a "horror institution."

"American Horror Story" will haunt FX with its second season beginning in October.
