During the second season finale of “Homeland,” terrorists successfully bombed CIA headquarters and framed their former collaborator, Nick Brody (Damian Lewis) for the crime. And while Brody managed to make it to Canada, his problems are far from over.

Via Entertainment Weekly, Showtime has released short descriptions of “Homeland” Season 3, “Dexter” Season 8 and the premiere seasons of “Ray Donovan” and “The Masters of Sex.”

For “Homeland,” the third season begins “during the aftermath of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist — Nick Brody. As Carrie (Claire Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) begin to pick up the pieces of their shattered professional and personal lives, they are swept up in the political and media firestorm surrounding the terror attack and the subsequent search for Brody’s whereabouts.”

Meanwhile, the new season of “Dexter” stars “six months after LaGuerta’s murder — and Dexter is still managing life as a dad, brother, and serial killer. As Deb struggles to deal with the consequences of her actions, a mysterious woman comes to work with Miami Metro, offering first-hand information on Dexter’s past.”

Dexter’s summer companion series, “Ray Donovan” is headlined by Liev Schreiber, who portrays the title character as “LA’s best professional fixer… This powerful drama unfolds when his father, Mickey Donovan, played by Oscar winner Jon Voight, is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.”

And finally, “Masters of Sex” features  Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as famous sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson whose “research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a mid-western teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine.”

“Dexter” Season 8 and “Ray Donovan” will premiere on Sunday, June 30 on Showtime. “Homeland” Season 3 and “Masters of Sex” will kick off on Sunday, September 29.
